In a surprising move, Google has recently announced that it will be releasing Google Now to iOS – huh what ?! Yup, iOS owners will be able to receive Google Now even before Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich owners.

Now before you start bashing Google up, the new search feature from Google for iOS is not Google Now for iOS; its a new and improved voice search that looks like Google Now. There are no card features and it definitely can’t do as much.

With Apple trying to stop relying on Google’s services, this would definitely entice iOS owners to continue using Google. Hopefully Google releases Google Now for earlier version of Android OS as well.
