Owners of HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy Note are in for a treat as early ports of the popular custom ROM, CyanogenMod 9 are being released. Do bear in mind that these are unofficial ports and is still an alpha release.
Tegra 3-powered One X is receiving the CM9 release courtesy of team TripNDroid. You’ll get the vanilla Ice Cream Sandwich experience as the Sense UI has been replaced with it. You do also get a fully functional smartphone which is a bonus considering it’s still an alpha release. However the camera and Wifi hotspot don’t quite work as of yet.
The international Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N7000) gets its alpha CM9 build thanks to renowned Samsung hackers TeamHacksung. The list of known issues are relatively short but the one that will stop many from trying it out is that voice calls don’t really work well yet. If you make or receive calls the other person will not be able to hear you.
If you still want to try it out and experience first hand what team CyanogenMod has to offer for your device then make sure you do a CWM backup first so you can restore to your previous rom once you’re done mucking around.
