The highly anticipated iPhone 5 has finally been scheduled to reach our shores on the 14th of December. Make sure to mark your calendars as we’re pretty sure the various telcos will be doing their bit to promote and launch the phone. For those that want to get the iPhone 5 without contract, it will most likely be available in the Apple Store couple of days after the launch.
Maxis has also made available their Registration of Interest Page which can be found here. If you’re still on contract and own an iPhone 4/4S, most likely there will an option to extend your contract just like when iPhone 4S was launched.
Celcom has also launched their own ROI page here. No news from DiGi yet but we’re pretty sure they’re already working on it. iPhone 4S owners will you be getting the iPhone 5 ?
Today’s news is brought to you all the way from Germany. Apparently, Media Market/Saturn, a retail group that operates in 18 European and Asian Market has a screen capture showing eight different iPad mini configuration.
This is just speculation at the moment and we’ll only know for certain once
Apple introduces the product. How will the iPad mini fare against the likes of other 7 inch tablets ? The 16GB Nexus 7 costs RM 999 in Malaysia and compared to the iPad mini, that’s a premium of an extra +/- RM 400. Despite that, the iPad mini will certainly find its way to many homes as many iPad owners have been wanting a smaller size iPad for a while now. We can’t wait to see what other features the iPad mini introduces.
Below is the reported pricing for the iPad Mini:
One thing we can always look forward to after the announcement of any new Apple product is the official promo video on it; plus all the parodies that follow. John Elerick has been putting up some really interesting videos on YouTube including the iPhone 5.
Their own flavor of wit, sarcasm and parody to make a hilarious “<iOS device name> banned promo” video.
The negative comments or parodies you see online from almost everyone is definitely not affecting the sales of iPhone 5, that much. It’s seen more than two million pre-orders in just 24 hours, twice as much as the iPhone 4S.
Apple, you’ve done it again.
Rovio has finally unveiled a trailer on the latest piggy instalment, this time the pigs are the stars. Bag Piggies allows you to go through levels with the help of some interesting contraptions, stealing eggs. Gameplay is very much similar to Rovio’s Amazing Alex.
It’s a welcome changed from the usual sling flinging birds and for those who always thought the pigs deserved a chance to get even with the angry birds, you’ll not want to miss this game.
“As far as the gameplay goes, Bad Piggies and Angry Birds are complete opposites,” Petri Järvilehto, EVP of Games at Rovio told Y! Games. “Angry Birds smash things up, Bad Piggies build stuff. The pigs are all about making plans and building things, even — and especially — when they don’t work!”
Bad Piggies is due to appear for Android, iOS on September 27. Will Bad Piggies break Angry Birds Space record of 10 million… Read more

The moment many have been waiting for has finally come and gone as Apple unveils their latest and greatest smartphone; the iPhone 5. Looks like most of the leaked images and videos that has been floating around the internet the past week or so were mostly true.
The iPhone 5 finally breaks out of its constraints, the 3.5 inch screen. It now comes with a 4 inch retina display boasting 1136 x 640 pixel resolution with 326 ppi thanks to the Retina display. iPhone 4s only supports 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi. The dimensions of the new iPhone 5 gives it a 16:9 ratio and it comes with a 800:1 contrast ratio.
The iPhone 5 has been given a new shell as well, now with a mix of anodised aluminium back and glass front. Apple has also redesigned the internals and managed to squeeze everything in a body that’s only 7.6mm thin and now weight a… Read more
We’ve all had our devices dropped at one point or another but what about accidentaly dropping it in a bath tub or pool ? We’ll thankfully you don’t have to do it yourself to find out what happens because the peeps at SquareTrade put the hottest tablet in town, the Nexus 7 against the iPad to see how it fairs in drop and an underwater dunk test.
Both devices survived the test but unfortunately the iPad took the most abuse and paled in comparison against the Nexus 7. Without wanting to give too much away, take a look at the video yourself. Kids, don’t try this at home !!

Great news for Malaysians as Apple finally launched iTunes Store in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and 9 other Asian countries. This move by Apple enables users to finally be able to have access to the millions of songs, movies and television shows in the iTunes Store.
This will definitely increase the functionality of the iTunes store and gives a chance to users to take advantage on deals when purchasing music or renting movies. It’s a little disappointing that Apple has not made iBooks available locally though. That would have certainly been an interesting addition to iTunes store.
Make sure you update your iTunes to the latest version 10.6.3 first.
Finally you can go legit and have no more excuses although you do still need a credit card for purchases.
